Awards Day for Maya!

Maya received a few awards today at school for her academic performance! She received 2 reading awards - one sponsored by the State of Florida, and the other for collecting 313 AR points! She has also maintained 3 semesters of straight A's and it is looking good for the full school year.

We are very proud of her!

Maya's AR Award!

In order to get an AR (Accelerated Reader) Award, kids had to have collected at least 200 AR points. Maya accumulated a total of 313 points for the year!
Way to go Maya!

Old Friends are the best!

Maya got a chance to see Julia today in Jacksonville. She and Julia were in school together Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

Leigh's Visit

Leigh came and visited us this weekend and we had a great time! Leigh and Janet caught a movie together and we all went out to dinner Saturday night. On Sunday, we went to the Palm Beach Zoo and had a great time. Monday was another movie day and Leigh, Maya and Janet went to see Coraline in 3-D. Leigh and Maya also had a pretty fierce Cooking Mama Cook-Off competition on the Wii! A good time was had by all!
